L&T has a strong presence in the North East and has been supplying machines for nearly two decades. Today, there is an active population of 750 machines deployed in various applications like road building, land development, irrigation and mining. L&T is keen to step up efforts to increase its offtake as well as expand the customer base in the region, especially in the wake of increased investments in infrastructure development and building of border roads. 

L&T supports the dealership activities in the NE with workshop facilities and Parts depots. Given the challenging terrain and difficult access to areas in the region, L&T is committed to keeping the machine uptime high through increased availability and working with the dealer to provide skill based training for operators and mechanics under the Pradhan Mantri Kaushal Vikas Yojana.
